Delete your account and data
Your cars, service log and fault-code history live on your phone. If you signed in, a backup also lives in your own iCloud (Apple sign-in) or your own Google Drive (Google sign-in). We do not keep a copy on our servers.
Delete in the app
- Open Motortune.
- Tap the gear icon to open Settings.
- Tap Account.
- Tap Delete account and all data, then Delete everything.
This cannot be undone. Tap Export my data first if you want to keep a copy.
What is deleted
- Every car, service log entry, fault-code record, saved adapter and trip on this phone.
- Your iCloud backup (Apple sign-in) or your Google Drive backup (Google sign-in).
- Your sign-in on this phone. You are signed out.
What is kept
- Your Motortune Pro purchase. It belongs to your Apple or Google account, so you can restore it later with Restore purchases.
- Crash reports and usage statistics. If you were signed in, crash reports carry your account identifier, and some also carry the name and email from your sign-in. They expire under our providers' retention settings. Email us to have them deleted sooner.
- Support reports you chose to send. We keep them until you ask us to delete them.
If you no longer have the app
Email [email protected] from any address and ask us to delete your data. Tell us the name on the account or the date you sent a support report so we can find it. We confirm by email once it is done.
You can also remove a Google Drive backup yourself: open Google Drive on the web, go to Settings, then Manage apps, find Motortune and choose Delete hidden app data.
More detail is in the privacy policy.
